At last a victory for Hagar! Inspiring his warriors with a heroic single-handed attack on Sherrard's peasant scum and dispatching Sherrard and almost his entire contingent while suffering not a scratch to his own and snatching Sherrard's wealth from under his very nose!
Hagar spoke... 'Let this victory inspire us to greater deeds! Let this story be told and let this lesson be learned by all!

Perhaps Sherrard's early success has gone to his head but with his raiding party stabbing at Paddy's side has he stirred a hornet's nest? has he done what cannot be undone?
Paddy spoke... 'So now 'tis me own crock ye seek is it? This betrayal will n' go unpunished! to be sure! Prepare for y' final days me lad, say y' farewells and don't be at home when the Irishman comes-a-knockin'!' Having defeated the Irish decisively, Fraser Spoke...
'Aye a fine win men, oot smartin’ tha’ Irish went tae plan an’ well it went. A few bruises fae they tatty chuckin’ halfwits wis’ nothin’ tae stop us holding oor ayne’ way’ the Saxon poofs, aye more than a few good men lost tae the battle, but stand firm we did. Lets get intae these Anglo Dane bastards again!' Fraser went on to battle the Anglo-Danes once again, however things weren’t to the King of North’s usual ways and the event unfolded in defeat for the Scots. A reflective time for the ambitious King? Fraser spoke once more... 'My Brothers, the defeat I hold heavy against ma heart. At furst’ it seemed a sure ‘hing wae the Anglo Danes, but bad tactics, tactics which I put forth, that’s wit caused oor short an’ sour loss of many. Even I wis’ wounded badly. Fear is a myth tae us an’ it shall remain that way forever more like it was our faethers’ before us. Look forward tae the glory of battle an’ the achievements it brings in the new lands we seek to make compliant tae oor ways. Ways of proud community an’ a warriors way at the heart of every soul born a Scot! TONGS YA BAS’ Word spreads quickly of Olaf's victory in Normandy and of his declaration as Aetheling over all. Olaf claims rights to lands in Normandy as Hagar retreats back to his fortress to brood.
The Scots have been sent home, at last their winning streak has been broken, perhaps they are not so invincible after all? But who now will step forth and stop the Vikings from rampaging across France? A successful defence against the Saxon pretender, but at great cost. All but one man were lost to the battle. Thankfully more warriors joined the victorious Fraser, yet still the Scots are weakened by this heavy conflict on the Saxon border. With three victories out of three it seems the luck of the Irish has travelled overseas to Scotland!
Fraser Spoke... 'Aye lads, I dinnae hink' it's tha last time we've seen Sherrard and his Saxon scum!' Raiding the Scots should have been a forgone conclusion, but Paddy's pride blinkered him to the task at hand. In duelling with the wily Fraser, the Irishman took his eyes off the prize and the Scots were able to out-flank the Irish warriors and doubled levy over to the Irish camp for a single victory point, but one was all that was needed.
Paddy Spoke... 'Tis a sad day to be sure, me crock-o-gold was t'ieved so it was.' the great battle at Hastings did not go as planned, perhaps it will be Hagar's son and heir William who will rewrite the history books, but for now the Norman invasion has crashed onto the rocks of despair and all thoughts of victory and expansion have turned to fear of defeat and invasion. At home the revolt only caused more pain for the weary warlord and many warriors were to be put to the sword.
Hagar looked back over his shoulder as the great ships now only half laden sailed for home. He spake not, for none dared approach the dark, brooding figure at the stern of the vessel. Jubilant is the mood in the lands of the Anglo Danes, but not for the Danes themselves. ‘Fraser the Bloodthirsty’ King of Neo Scotland and the rest of his current campaign army are celebrating their battle victory, the proceeds of said victory contained a large amount of gold. However the sea journey down was not just for a bounty. Fraser intends on more.
Fraser spoke “A fine victory brothers aye, but the battle isnae’ over here way’ these Anglo Dane bastards, naw. New’ the Mormaer Warlords and thur’ tong clans are unified in thought, the expansion of the Neo Kingdom can proceed away” The Scots look to take the land on which the Anglo Danes have already shed blood on. This may be a perfect time to strike whilst the iron is hot and the sword is still blood soaked. A message for Fraser of home may see the Scots make haste of their battle plans. “So this character Sherard threatens aw’ that is dear to us wae’ his so called God? I shull stare intae’ the eyes of this God and give a message of death delivered by my sword. Like oor’ fore faethers’ before us, let us go forth and kill those who threaten the Scotland we love and honour” “TONGS YA BAS!” In the court of Wessex, King Sherard did review his glorious victory with his lords. His righteous armies had driven the heathens from the sacred shores in the service of the almighty God. The sea had washed the shores clean of the tainted blood.
News was brought to them of a victory by the Scotts in the wasteland of the North. Sherard did receive this news with great welcome and gathered his lords about him. The most pious and humble priests said unto Sherard that more wealth for the church would be rewarded with greater adoration from the peasants and an assurance of paradise in the afterlife. Sherard spoke "The Scotts are heathens, their wealth is forfeit, let us harvest this gold as a tribute to the almighty so that their sins may be in some small way absolved. We must guide them to enlightenment. For the glory of the one God, make ready the boats. We set sail to harvest the wheat of godly riches reaped from the chaff of the heathen scotts. For the glory of God, for the good of Wessex!" To the North - we raid. Scots campaign vs Anglo-Danish - played - Win for Scots
